Aging Care Well is a Canadian site, and we handle personal information under Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). This page explains what we collect, why, and what your rights are. In short: we collect very little, we don’t sell anything, and there are no advertising trackers on this site.

What we collect

Newsletter signup. If you subscribe, we collect your email address through Kit (ConvertKit), our email service provider. Subscribing uses double opt-in: you’ll receive a confirmation email, and you’re not added to the list until you confirm. We use your email only to send the newsletter you signed up for.

Site analytics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless and does not track you individually or across other sites. It gives us aggregate information — roughly how many people visited a page, from what general region, on what kind of device — with nothing that identifies you personally.

Donations. If you donate through our Stripe payment link, Stripe processes that transaction directly. We do not receive or store your payment card details — Stripe’s own privacy practices govern that transaction.

We do not use advertising cookies, ad-tracking pixels, or third-party ad networks, because we don’t run ads.

Who we share it with

Only the service providers named above, and only for the purpose you gave us the information for: Kit for newsletter delivery, Cloudflare for aggregate analytics, Stripe for payment processing. We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information to anyone, for any reason.

Your rights

Under PIPEDA, you can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, and withdraw your consent at any time. To unsubscribe from the newsletter, use the unsubscribe link in any email — it’s immediate and requires nothing further from you. If this policy changes in a way that affects how your information is handled, we’ll update this page and its “last updated” date, shown above.
